Our Services
Your Business,
Our Priority.
How much does an hour of downtime cost your business?
At TopTech, we specialize in virtually eliminating downtime. We use a multi-tiered approach and can custom tailor our services to meet almost any budget.
There are many different ways to calculate the cost of downtime depending on what you’re focusing on.
A simplified way to calculate revenue lost per hour is the following formula:
C = (G/T)
C = Cost per hour of downtime / G = Gross Income of Company / T = Total business operation hours in a year
Now this is a very simple calculation with a lot of assumptions but it does give a general idea of how much downtime can cost a company. The services we provide at TopTech contribute to running an efficient, cost-effective computer network.
Monthly Service Plans
We offer two levels of monthly service plans to fit your needs: Proactive and Managed.
The majority of our clients select Proactive as it is the most cost-effective plan. Our Managed plan is more for clients who have a fixed, predetermined budget (such as non-profits) or those who want a predictable monthly cost that does not fluctuate.

Proactive
Computers are much like cars. They perform better when they are maintained and looked after properly. Our proactive maintenance program not only keeps your computer updated, it also monitors the error logs (similar to the check engine light on your car) for issues and either automatically fixes the issue at no cost to you, or alerts our technicians so we can resolve the issue before it becomes a large and expensive one. Many times, we are able to point out and fix issues before end users are even aware there is a problem!
Majority of issues that users experience are virus or malware-related. At TopTech, we recognize that and as such have included an industry-leading anti-virus subscription and free virus removals for clients on full proactive plans.
Any remediation work is billable under proactive plans at the specified rate in your contract. This allows us to keep the monthly cost of support as low as possible.
Managed
While the Proactive plan has the lowest monthly base cost, actual costs can vary depending on the amount and type of work performed. Our Managed plan includes everything that the Proactive plan does but it also includes all billable remediation time. Clients who choose this plan do not pay hourly rates for service as this is included in their monthly rate. Note: This does not include project billable time for issues such as installing new equipment.
For clients who need or want a set monthly cost that doesn’t fluctuate (such as non-profits), our Managed monthly plan is perfect!
Computer Support
Picture this. It’s the end of the month, payroll and end of quarter reports are due. You’ve already stayed a little late to do the last bits of data entry and now your computer turns off. You can’t turn it on. How do you get to your data? Was it saved? How much time and energy did you just waste? Grudgingly, you pick up the phone and call home…you’re going to be late and you don’t want them to wait up for you.
Sound familiar? Okay so maybe it wasn’t this exact scenario, but every business owner or management professional has encountered times when their technology has failed them. Who do you call? Can you call your tech in the middle of the night? Will they be polite or will they make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them?
At TopTech we understand how businesses work. Your operation hours might be M-F 8-5…but running a business is a 24/7 responsibility. We promise that we will always be available and courteous…no matter the day or time your issue is submitted!
Server Support
How comfortable would you feel if you jumped on an airplane and the pilot told you that they had the local auto repair company fix and service their plane that morning? Would you trust that the auto repair technician could do the job of a airplane technician? Probably not! You’d hop off that plane and demand to speak to management!
Servers are the same way. They are not like your average computer that most technicians are used to working on. They use specialized hardware, software and Operating Systems that most computer shops don’t work with on a regular basis.
Here at TopTech, we’ve worked with companies that have as many as 10+ servers and hundreds of workstations. Line of Business applications, virtual environments, remote apps, terminal servers, you name it!…we’ve probably done it. There are many things that need to be done to get servers to work right…any tech can bumble through it and get it in a somewhat workable fashion…but it won’t be optimal. Done correctly, a server can LOWER your overall IT costs and provide you with performance and reliability that simply cannot be achieved without it. Contact us today to find out how you can get a free assessment to determine if your current IT company is doing everything right!

Network Support
Many businesses today are moving all their critical applications and systems to the cloud. This reduces their network complexity and the cloud companies are usually pretty good about keeping data safe and ensuring it is always available. One thing that commonly gets overlooked when moving a business in this direction is the network. If you rely on the internet for critical applications, then your network devices; switches, routers, firewalls, etc. now become your weakest link. Having a robust network is extremely vital in these situations. We monitor our clients internet connection for outages and are alerted if the internet goes down.
Another often overlooked aspect of the network is security. While computer shops can do basic security setups, we provide comprehensive setups that filter content, block applications, viruses and other malicious code. By providing higher level security and curbing websites and applications that lead to lower employee productivity, we help you increase your bottom line and efficiency.
Data Backups / Business Continuity
According to homelandsecuritynewswire.com, only 6% of businesses that have experienced a “major loss” of computer data survive more than 2 years after the incident. 43% closed their doors immediately, and 51% within two years. The question isn’t if you can afford to backup your data…the question is can you afford not to?
Any computer shop can backup your data. At TopTech we go a few steps further. It’s not about just backing up the data…it’s about RECOVERING your data. Getting you back in an operational state because lets face it…if you don’t have your data, you can’t work. If you can’t work, you can’t make money. Period.
We work with our clients and determine an acceptable timeframe for recovery and return to Business as Usual. Then we create and structure a data backup or data continuity plan that fits them. We can also regularly test backups to ensure that in the event you need them, they will work. All backups are monitored and alerts sent for a backup failure or complications. For clients with extremely critical needs, we can setup a recovery time of under 5 minutes from a critical failure!
If you don’t have a plan or feel that your plan is inadequate, give us a call today and ask about how you can get a free assessment of your backup systems!

HIPAA & Other Regulations
HIPAA, FINRA, FERPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS…what gives? Security compliance is a constantly changing field and it takes a professional to stay current on all the different laws being passed as well as the changing interpretations of the laws. From small offices to large multi-site organizations, we are intimately familiar with all the different federal regulations that you may be subject to.
We recently received our CHMSP (Certified HIPAA Managed Services Professional) designation from a 3rd party compliance company. This certifies that they believe us to be uniquely qualified to work with clients who must comply with HIPAA. We are a HIPAA compliant IT company ourselves and can assist you with maintaining your own HIPAA compliance. Note: If you fall under HIPAA, you MUST use a HIPAA compliant computer support company. Failure to do so can subject you to fines for non-compliance!
